In order to connect with a city, neighborhood or social issue, it is important to understand the context, culture and history related to a volunteer experience.
SaLT has partnered with locally-based nonprofit organizations to ensure the following educational experiences:
- Local experts and leaders to speak on relevant issues
- Historians and tour guides to discuss the neighborhoods within we serve
- Facilitate dialogue with community members
- Organize tours of local cultural institutions, museums and historical landmarks
